Police search for man involved in 35 robberies in Houston area, police say

HOUSTON – An armed man who police have seen many times before in similar robberies has targeted a restaurant in southeast Houston, according to officials. 

A man standing at 6 feet and from 40 to 50 years old demanded money from the cashier at a restaurant while holding her at gunpoint Feb. 5 at 1:31 p.m., authorities said. 

The cashier working for the restaurant, on the 800 block of South 75th Street, said the man purchased a small item, but when she opened the register he reached over the counter and took an unknown amount of money. 

The man left in a black Chevrolet Impala and has been seen leaving other scenes in a black Lincoln Town Car with chrome rims and a gray Toyota Camry, police say.

According to police, the man is responsible for 34 similar robberies throughout Houston. 

The man is described to weigh between 230 to 250 pounds, and he was wearing a dark blue mechanic type shirt, blue pants and black shoes.
