Neighbors claim White Oak Music Hall violated agreement

Venue ordered to prove it is complying with sound ordinance

HOUSTON – An emergency hearing was held Tuesday morning in court after White Oak Music Hall was accused of violating its recent agreement regarding noise.

Attorneys for residents living near the venue say an event was held there Friday night without a sound engineer, even though that was part of the agreement.

On Tuesday, a judge in the 11th Judicial District ordered White Oak Music Hall to provide reports showing the venue is complying with the sound levels agreed upon.

On Jan. 25, a judge granted a temporary injunction against the music venue that among other things limits them to only two outdoor shows over the next few months and sound monitoring weekly.

The case will go to trial on May 15.
