MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A 30-year-old Conroe man was arrested last week after authorities said he was in possession of illicit narcotics during a search of a home in the 800 block of Glen Hollow Drive.
The investigation into John Philip Simon began on Feb. 6, when detectives said they received information that $36,000 in cash was sent from Texas through the U.S. Post Office.

Detectives said the money was being sent to Colorado to purchase an unknown quantity of marijuana as well as marijuana-infused edibles and oils.
When officials executed a search warrant on the home, they said they found $6,600 in cash, 1.9 pounds of marijuana, 2 grams of marijuana wax/shatter, over 200 grams of THC-infused edibles and two firearms.
