Armed man robs food market in Harris County, officials say

An armed man robbed a Food Market and got away with an unknown amount of cash in Harris County, deputies said.

According to authorities, a man entered a Food Market on the 19400 block of Clay Road Jan. 6 at 4 p.m. and shoved a gun in the store clerk’s face demanding money.

The store clerk handed the man an unknown amount of cash and fled in a red SUV, officials said.

The man is described as a Hispanic man between 25 to 35 years old. He is between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches, and weighs between 180 to 200 pounds, deputies said.

The man has a long dark beard and was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with words “Patriot” on the back side.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.
