3 shot during argument in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating the shooting of three men Tuesday at 8038 Record Street.

Investigators said the victims got into a fight over property in the driveway the residence. Two of the victims shot at each other and wounded all three men.

Officials said one of them was taken to the hospital, the second man drove to a gas station at 7590 North Wayside and then taken to the hospital by HFD. 

The third victim was later taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound and later released, police said. 

Family members say it was 23 -year-old Paul "Bubba" Stewart who was shot in the chest on the 8000 block of Record Street in Northeast Houston early Tuesday morning.

His family tells Channel 2 that he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time

"Two guys were trying to set a friend up or something, and he got out of the car and got shot in the chest," says Stewart's cousin.

Stewart was shot several times, once in the chest and twice in the leg, according to his cousin.

Stewart is expected to survive.

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
