Man tied to killings in CA, NH may have lived in Texas

HOUSTON – A man who has been linked to killings in both California and New Hampshire may have lived in Texas, investigators said, and authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify his victims.

Bob Evans died in 2010 while serving a sentence in a California prison for killing and dismembering his wife. Recently discovered evidence also tied Evans to the killing of a woman and three girls whose bodies were found in steel drums in a New Hampshire forest.

The woman and two of the girls are related, investigators said. They said the third girl was Evans’ daughter.

Investigators said that in 1981, Evans, his girlfriend, Denise Beaudin, and her daughter disappeared from their home in New Hampshire. Authorities said they believe the group traveled to Texas to escape financial difficulties.

Beaudin has not been heard from since.

In 1986, Evans abandoned Beaudin’s daughter in California. He was arrested three years later on child abandonment charges.

Evans was released on parole in 1990 and killed Eunsoon Jun, another girlfriend, in 2002.

Investigators said Thursday that they have identified Beaudin’s daughter and have found her alive and well. However, they are still looking for Beaudin.

Evans, who went by several aliases, admitted to investigators that he spend time in Nueces, Harris, Dallas, Matagorda and Travis counties in Texas. Specifically, he spent time in Houston and Bay City during the 1970s. He also spent time in Austin in the 1980s.

Investigators said they hope by releasing information about Evans ties to Texas, they may be able to find Beaudin, identify his New Hampshire victims and possibly solve other outstanding cases.

Anyone with information about Evans or the whereabouts of Beaudin was asked to contact 800-THE-LOST (843-5678).
