HOUSTON – A Houston Independent School District student was arrested Thursday after bringing a loaded gun to school, HISD police said.
The incident was reported at North Forest High School.

HISD police said a student told school officials another student was carrying a firearm. Police said the gun was confiscated and the student was taken into custody.
No students were harmed.
HISD officials said parents were notified of the situation.
It is unknown why the student brought the gun to school.
The incident is under investigation.
