400 pounds of marijuana discovered during traffic stop, deputies say

KATY, Texas – Over 400 pounds of marijuana was discovered Thursday night during a traffic stop, deputies said.

A Harris County precinct 5 deputy said he stopped a pickup truck and trailer on the Katy Freeway and found the 400 pounds of pot with help of a K-9. Deputies said a pistol was also confiscated during the drug bust. 

Deputies said the driver of the pickup truck, Edward Christensen, was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana with an enhancement for a deadly weapon.
