Pedestrian fatally struck by train in NE Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating Saturday after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a train in northeast Houston.

The incident was reported at 5:50 a.m. in the 400 block of Schweikhardt Street.

Police said a man was hit and killed by a train. Police believe the victim was homeless, saying he had no identification.

A passerby told police his name may be Joe and that he was from Louisiana.
