Man found shot to death at Houston apartment complex
Police still looking for shooters
HOUSTON – Police are looking for whoever is responsible for the shooting death of a man whose body was found in the passageway of a Houston apartment complex last week, investigators said Tuesday.
About 11:35 p.m. Thursday, officers found the man’s body on the second floor of an apartment building at 19100 Glenwest Drive, according to a news release from the Houston Police Department.
As police were called to investigate the shooting, they spotted a vehicle speeding away from the area where shots had been fired, officers said.
They stopped the car and detained the people inside for questioning, but no arrests were made. Police say the shooters remain at large.
The victim -- whose name has not been released -- was pronounced dead before he could be taken to a hospital.
Witnesses said several men entered the victim’s apartment and demanded property at gunpoint.
