7 arrested in IHOP armed robbery in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Seven people, including two juveniles, were arrested Wednesday after an armed robbery at an IHOP in north Harris County.

Investigators said two thieves robbed a server at gunpoint just after midnight at the restaurant on Cypress Station and FM 1960. Then the group took off in a vehicle, deputies said.

Officers chased the suspects to a neighborhood on Nanes and Belaya where they jumped out of the vehicle and ran, investigators said.

Two women were quickly caught.

Five men were arrested after police sent out K9 units and helicopters.

Police found two weapons and money inside the vehicle.

It's unknown how much money was taken.

It is unclear what charges the group will face.
