WEBSTER, Texas – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information in an aggravated robbery at a gas station in Webster.
The thief entered the gas station in the 1040 block of West Bay Area Boulevard at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 5, police said.
Webster police investigators said the man approached the counter, pulled out a gun and told the clerk to open the ATM. When the machine was opened, the thief took two ATM boxes and then fled the scene.
Surveillance video shows the theft. Investigators used images and information from the clerk to come up with a description of the man, who is accused of aggravated robbery.
He was described as black, 6-feet tall, in his 30s, with a slim build and a thin mustache. He was wearing a gray hoodie with a black baseball cap and blue jeans during the robbery. The clerk told investigators that the suspect spoke with a Jamaican or African accent and had a duck-like walk.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the man. Anyone with information is asked to call 713-222-TIPS (8477).
