Man found stabbed, woman shot after chase in Fresno

FRESNO, Texas – A chase in Fresno ended Tuesday afternoon with the discovery that a man had been stabbed and a woman had been shot.

According to Fort Bend County deputies, Arcola police officers were in the area of West Davis Road in Fresno when they heard gunshots.

Deputies said the police officers chased a vehicle believed to be connected to the gunshots. The vehicle crashed after a short pursuit, deputies said.

A man in the vehicle was armed and had stab wounds to his arms, deputies said.

Deputies said a woman who had been shot in the foot was found on West Davis Road.

Both the man and woman were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, deputies said.

Investigators said they believe the injuries were the result of a family violence incident.
