Texans will host Oakland Raiders in wild card playoff game at NRG stadium

The Houston Texans will host the Oakland Raiders in their wild card playoff game on either this coming Saturday at NRG stadium. 

The Houston Texans will host the Oakland Raiders in their wild card playoff game during the playoffs' opening weekend. This will be the Texans sixth playoff game in franchise history. They've posted a 2-3 record in previous playoff trips.

The Raiders claimed the fifth seed in the AFC playoffs after their loss Sunday in Denver, coupled with the Kansas City Chiefs victory over the San Diego Chargers.

The Texans faced the Raiders earlier this season when the two teams met in Mexico City, with the Raiders earning a 27-20 victory after coming back from a 20-13 deficit in the fourth quarter.

This will mark the Texans' fourth home playoff game in franchise history. 

They won their first two playoff games, both against Cincinnati, in the 2011 and 2012 post seasons.

Last season, after winning the AFC South division, they hosted the Chiefs and lost 30-0.
