Driver crashes car into home, van in NE Houston, police say

HOUSTON – A car struck a house and van after the driver lost control early Sunday in northeast Houston, police said.

The incident was reported just after midnight on Waco and Sumter streets.

Houston police officers responded to a report of a drunken driver, went to the address, where they found a damaged van, car and house, police said.

Police said the car was traveling on Waco Street when the driver lost control and it hit a van before crashing into the house. Several people on the porch of the home witnessed the incident, but suffered no injuries, police said.

The drivers of the van and car were not injured.

No arrest or charges have been made.

Police are investigating the incident.
