NORTHWEST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Three incidents at one crash scene landed one person in the hospital and two people in custody in Northwest Harris County.
It all started when a deputies said an intoxicated couple got into an argument while driving on Grant Road at Perry around midnight.
The man in the car stopped the vehicle in the middle of Grant Road, got out and began to walk down the middle of the road, deputies said.
According to authorities, a woman who was proven not to be intoxicated was driving down a dimly lit part of Grant Road when she hit the man with her vehicle.
She told deputies that she could not see the man walking down the road, and she stayed at the scene to answer questions.
The man was taken to the hospital in stable, but critical condition.
While deputies were investigating the auto-pedestrian accident, they closed down Grant road.
Deputies said that an intoxicated driver attempted to pull onto the oncoming road to go around the blockaded area instead of waiting for the scene to clear.
The driver was taken into custody.
While the deputies were taking care of the two separate issues, a third driver rear-ended one of the officers investigating the scene, officials said.
According to authorities, the third driver seemed to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.
