Man shot in back during robbery, police say

HOUSTON – Police are searching for three men who robbed a man at gunpoint in the 1500 block of Sherwood Forest Street on Nov. 14.

Police said three black men approached the victim as he stood next to his vehicle and demanded his property.

The victim complied, but then attempted to run away. One of the gunmen shot him, causing a spinal cord injury.

The victim is now unable to walk due to his injury.

Police described two of the assailants as approximately 25-30 years old and 5 feet 9 inches tall.

One of the men (pictured in a sketch above) was about 175 pounds, wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and blue shorts. He is the man suspected of wounding the victim. Police said he had a chrome and white pistol.

The second assailant was wearing a white shirt and blue pants.

Police were unable to give a description of the third individual.
