TSA finds 66 firearms in carry-on bags
WASHINGTON, DC – The Transportation Safety Administration discovered 66 firearms last week in carry-on bags around the nation.
Of those, 61 were loaded.
In addition to all of the other prohibited items TSA finds weekly in carry-on bags, officers also regularly find firearm components, realistic replica firearms, bb and pellet guns, airsoft guns, brass knuckles, ammunition, batons, stun guns, small pocketknives and other items, TSA said.
You can travel with your firearms in checked baggage, but you must first notify your airline. Click here for more information on how to properly travel with firearms.
