Store clerk pistol-whipped during robbery in NW Houston

HOUSTON – A grocery store clerk was pistol-whipped Saturday night during a robbery in northeast Houston.

The robbery was reported at 11:50 p.m. in the 18000 block of FM 529.

Harris County deputies said two men entered a grocery store with handguns. Deputies said the men approached the customer service booth, struck the clerk with a handgun, demanded money and fled in a white truck.

Both suspects were described as black men, dressed in black clothing with masks and hoodies.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest of the robbers. Anyone with information is asked to call 713-222-8477.
