2 carjacking suspects arrested after high speed chase, police say
HOUSTON – Houston police arrested two men Thursday morning after a high speed chase.
Officers said the men robbed and carjacked a woman who had stopped to get money out of a Bank Of America ATM machine.
They said the woman was in the car by her herself, when two men approached, as she opened her door.
The men were armed with guns and stole her purse, cellphone, money and car, police said.
They woman quickly flagged down an officer, and the officer immediately put out a description of the car and another HPD unit down the road spotted the vehicle.
The suspects lead the officers on a high speed chase north on Dairy Ashford to Beechnut Eastbound to Cook Road. The driver lost control and hit a curb and into some bushes in the front of a shopping center.
The two men were arrested and face charges of aggravated robbery and felony evading.
