Police need help identifying woman killed 36 years ago

HOUSTON – Houston police are asking for the public’s identifying a woman who was killed in 1980.

The unknown woman was found lying near a railroad track under the North Freeway at 3600 Stokes Street on Dec. 10, 1980. around 3 p.m., police said.

According to authorities the woman was believed to be in her 20’s at the time of the homicide.

Police said she was found partially clothed with two thin gold bracelets and an orange bracelet on her left wrist as well as two necklaces.

The woman was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Person system after being unsuccessfully identified in the past.
