At least 2 people shot, 3 detained for questioning in connection to shootings

HOUSTON – Police are investigating three scenes in southwest Houston where police say at least two people were shot.

Police said around 2:30 a.m. Monday, a group of men told officers someone was chasing them in their car and shooting at them at the intersection of West Fuqua and Alrover. Police found a white Ford Mustang that had crashed into a light pole.

Down the street on Alrover and Dalmatian, police said a man was knocking on doors claiming he had been shot in the leg.

At the third scene on Dalmatian and Insley, investigators said a 14-year-old was also knocking on doors in a nearby neighborhood claiming he had been shot in the buttocks and arm.

Police arrested three armed men for questioning. It's unclear if the scenes are connected.

Both shooting victims were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive.
