HOUSTON – Black Friday can be less stressful when you’re more organized. That is why KPRC2 is providing a list of stores that will be open for the holiday sale so people can be more prepared.
Bed Bath & Beyond
Bed Bath & Beyond will be closed on Thanksgiving. It reopens at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
Best Buy
The electronics store will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and close at 1 a.m. early Friday. Best Buy reopens at 8 a.m. Black Friday, and has additional online deals.
Big Lots
Big Lots opens at 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving and closes at midnight. The store reopens at 6 a.m. on Black Friday

BJ's Wholesale Club
BJ’s will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The store reopens Black Friday from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Costco
Costco will be closed on Thanksgiving. It is set to reopen its doors at 9 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Black Friday.
Dollar General
Dollar General opens at 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving and closes its doors are 10 p.m. It will be open on Black Friday.
GameStop
GameStop is talking a break for Turkey Day but will reopen at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.
JC Penney
Will begin its Black Friday sale at 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, and will stay open Friday until 5 p.m. Online sale prices begin a day earlier, at midnight Nov. 23.

Kohl's
Kohl's stores will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will stay open through midnight on Black Friday. Kohl's has an additional Black Friday savings event on the store's website beginning Nov. 21.
Macy's
Macy's is kicking off its Black Friday sales at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, an hour earlier than the prior two years. Most will stay open until 2 a.m., close for four hours, and reopen at 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. for Black Friday.

Michael's
Craft lovers will be able to hit the aisles at Michaels beginning at 6p.m. on Thanksgiving. It closes at midnight and reopens at 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Black Friday.
Old Navy
Old Navy opens at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will be open until midnight on Black Friday.
PetSmart
PetSmart is closing its doors for the Thanksgiving holiday. It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.

Sam's Club
The big box grocery store will be closed on Thanksgiving, but reopens at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.
Sears
Sears is advertising Thanksgiving hours from 6 p.m. to midnight, though the company says some stores will be closed on the holiday. All stores will open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday, and doorbuster sales will be available online on Thanksgiving and in stores and online until 1 p.m. Black Friday while supplies last.
Target
Target will open its doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving. It also is bringing back its 10 Days of Deals and Black Friday Presale promotions.
Toys "R" Us
The toy giant will open its doors at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and will remain open for 30 hours straight. It will close again at 11 p.m. on Black Friday.
Walmart
Most Walmart stores are already open 24 hours. But the big box retailer will begin its Black Friday doorbuster event at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Dick's Sporting Goods
Dick's stores will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will stay open through 2 a.m. on Black Friday. They will reopen at 5 a.m. that Friday and will remain open until 10 p.m. The sporting goods store is also holding a 'Cyber Week' with deals on the Dick's website and in store from Nov. 27 through Dec. 3.

Grocery store hours
Some area grocery stores are open on Thanksgiving Day for shoppers who need a last-minute ingredient for dinner or a bottle of wine.
Most of the major grocery stores open at 6 a.m. Thursday. However, Aldi will be closed on turkey day. HEB closes at 2 p.m., while Randalls and Kroger closes at 4 p.m.
