Man hit by bullets in drive-by shooting, Houston police say

Truck slowly drove by victim's vehicle before fleeing, police say

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was hurt in a drive-by shooting Monday evening, the Houston Police Department said.

The shooting happened around 9:05 p.m. Monday in the 8100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said patrol officers found Davonn Wilmore, 33, sitting in the driver's seat of his car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators learned a dark-colored pickup truck slowly passed by Wilmore's car before driving away, police said.

Wilmore was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital. Police said he was listed in stable condition.
