HOUSTON – Early voting ended in Texas on Friday, Nov. 4, so if you want to cast your ballot in the 2016 general election you'll have to do so on Election Day - Tuesday, Nov. 8.
One of the big differences between early voting and voting on Election Day is where you can vote. During the early-voting period, you can go to any polling place. However, on Election Day, in Harris County, you must go to the polling place of the precinct where you are registered to vote. Other counties use voting centers, and allow people to cast their ballot at any center.
