Harris County DA race getting heated

HOUSTON – The race for Harris County district attorney has been so heated it's made national news.

The incumbent, Republican Devon Anderson, didn't backtrack Monday in her frank assessment of Democratic opponent Kim Ogg.

"No judgment was passed. They are facts. This is not newsworthy that she is liberal, pro-choice and a lesbian. Those are facts about her," Anderson said.

"I would suggest that Ms. Anderson's name-calling is a reflection of her poor position in the polls her failed record," Ogg responded.

The two candidates have very different ideas about how to run things and how to pursue justice.

This election may hinge on an issue Channel 2 Investigates uncovered months ago: that the District Attorney's Office jailed a rape victim.
