HOUSTON – A wrong-way driver is in the hospital after crashing into another vehicle on the Katy Freeway.
According to Precinct Five deputies, the woman was driving east in the westbound lanes around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies said she hit another car, lost control and slammed into the wall.
She was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The other driver was not hurt.
Investigators are looking into whether the injured driver had been drinking.
