A woman was arrested Sunday in northwest Harris County and charged with assault of a family member and an officer, police said.
According to authorities, Jamie Schaunaman physically struck a woman repeatedly on the head and poured hot coffee on her face.

After police arrived, Schaunaman then assaulted an officer, causing minor injuries, after she attempted to charge toward the woman again to cause further harm, police said.
The family member suffered minor burns to her face, authorities said.
Schaunaman is in Harris County Jail with a $15,000 bond.
