Man arrested in shooting that wounded 2 in Richmond area

RICHMOND, Texas – A man has been arrested, accused of shooting and wounding two people late last month, according to Fort Bend County deputies.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, a shooting was reported in the 3200 block of FM 2977, also known as Minonite Road, in the Richmond area.

Five people, all in their 20's, were in a vehicle heading south on FM 2977 when a shooting occurred inside the vehicle, injuring two people, deputies said.

Both men were taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. One of the victims has been released from the hospital. The second victim remains in the hospital pending additional surgical procedures.

The next day, deputies said the captured Logan Garza when he returned to his home in the 4400 block of Sunflower Creek Lane in the Sunrise Meadow subdivision.

Garza, 19, was arrested and charged with on two counts of aggravated assault. He's being held in the Fort Bend County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
