$5,000 reward offered for man who robbed cell phone store
HOUSTON – A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man accused of robbing a cellphone store last month.
Police said that at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 8 a man robbed the store in the 8300 block of Winkler Drive.
The man approached an employee working behind the counter and demanded money from the cash register, police said.
Police said an employee noticed that the man kept his right hand inside his front pocket the entire time, making the employee believe that he had a gun.
The man then fled the scene in a red Jeep, police said.
Police described the man as Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a beard. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black-and-red baseball cap, a blue shirt and dark-colored shorts.
