Woman accused of arson: 'You know what happens when I don't get my way'

SAN ANTONIO – A woman is in Bexar County Jail, charged with setting a car on fire, an arrest affidavit said.

Amanda Alvarado, 24, was arrested Thursday.

According to the arrest affidavit, Alvarado and a man had been arguing over custody of their child when she told the man, "You know what happens when I don't get my way."

When the man came home, he found his car had been set on fire, the affidavit said.

A neighbor then showed the man surveillance video that shows the woman, identified as Alvarado, carrying a gasoline container and writing a message on the back of the windshield.

Alvarado is charged with arson.
