6 charged in north Harris County prostitution sting
Constable says goal of sting was to rescue human-trafficking victims
HOUSTON – Six men were arrested Thursday during a prostitution sting in north Harris County.
The operation was conducted in the 500 block of FM Road 1960 after people in the community reported a high level of prostitution in the area, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman.
Herman said the goal of the operation was to find and rescue victims of human trafficking and arrest those who solicit prostitutes.
"The majority of people who seek the services of prostitutes attempt to justify their action by saying that prostitution is a victimless crime," Herman said. "This statement is absolutely false."
Those arrested were: 63-year-old Troy Dickerson, 44-year-old Jose Iniguez, 56-year-old Rosendo Salazar, 49-year-old Robert Todd, 26-year-old Marquis Little and 39-year-old Zarifou Daro.
All six men were charged with prostitution.
