HOUSTON – Sky 2 was over a crash Thursday involving a Houston Police Department patrol car and an 18-wheeler in northeast Houston.
The crash happened in the 8600 block of Ley Road at about 6:30 a.m.
Video shows damage to the front end of the police car after it appears to have hit the back of the big rig.
The officer was placed in an ambulance. The extent of the officer’s injuries was not made immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
