Houston police are investigating a crash Friday afternoon that killed a man walking on a sidewalk along Telephone Road Friday afternoon.
According to Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division investigators, the driver of a blue Nissan Frontier changed lanes to get around a slow moving vehicle and lost control of the vehicle.

The Nissan ran off the road, hit the man walking on the sidewalk and struck a light pole and concrete pillar at the front entrance of a nearby church.
The unidentified 44-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.
The driver was questioned at the scene and has not been charged.
Police are still investigating.
