Man, woman rob liquor store, push employee, authorities say

HOUSTON – A man and a woman robbed a liquor store, pushing and hurting an employee in the process, according to authorities.

The robbery was reported just before 9 p.m. on June 14 in the 6200 block of Westheimer Road.

Police said the woman tried to buy a bottle of liquor with a debit card, but it was declined.

The man then grabbed two bottles of liquor and started to walk outside, according to reports.

When an employee tried to stop him, the man pushed the employee and cut him, police said.

The man also raised one of the bottles as if to hit the employee, but police said the victim stepped out of the way.

The man and woman drove off in a 2008 silver Nissan Maxima, police said.
