Mother, 9-year-old daughter among robbery victims at N. Houston nail salon

HOUSTON – A mother and daughter were among a group of people held at gunpoint during a robbery Sunday evening at a North Houston nail salon.

"It will still take a little bit more time for me to get over it because I was scared," Lillie Eichenlaub, 9, said.

Eichenlaub and her mother were getting manicures and pedicures at 'LV Nails Spa' in the Garden Oaks shopping Center at 3902 N. Shepherd Sunday evening around 6:15 p.m. when two masked robbers stormed in.

"When I saw him pull the gun out, I grabbed her, and pushed her under the manicure station," Mandie Eichenlaub, Lillie's mother, said.

Both of the men, wearing hoodies and bandanas, were armed according to the Houston Police Department.

The assailants demanded cash from each of the approximately 20 people inside the business, a mix of customers and patrons, according to Mandie Eichenlaub.

"I was just trying to make sure she (my daughter) was OK," Eichenlaub said.

Nobody was hurt during the three-minute ordeal.

The robbers, who appeared to be efficient and experienced, according to several witness, arrived and left in a maroon-colored compact vehicle.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS
