Adele rumored to perform at Super Bowl halftime show in Houston
Artist would join legendary list of past performers
HOUSTON – Multi-time Grammy Award winner Adele may be coming to Houston to perform at the Super Bowl LI halftime show next year.
According to British media outlet The Sun, an unnamed NFL source said the league is considering Adele as the artist to perform for the big game.
"There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now," the source told The Sun. "It's Adele's nerves that are the issue - it hasn't been an easy sell."
Adele would join a legendary list of artists who have performed at the Super Bowl halftime show, including Michael Jackson, Prince, the Rolling Stones and Houston's own Beyonce, who performed at the halftime show for Super Bowl 50 this year.
Super Bowl LI will take place at NRG Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.
