Man shot dead in car at northwest Houston apartment complex

Police are still looking for the shooter


Houston police found a man inside his car dead from a shooting at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.

The shooting happened in the parking lot at a complex on Blalock Road and Colleen Road.

According to police, the man was shot an unknown number of times and dead in the drivers seat of his Camaro.

Police said some sort of disturbance happened between the man and an unknown person. The unknown person started shooting from the outside of the car through the passenger-side window. The man also had a gun and shot back, according to police.

Officers say the man put his car into gear after being shot and it rolled forward, crashing into a parked car. The man then collapsed from his wounds.

The person who shot him got away.

Detectives with Houston police are working to see what led up to the shooting.
