Man wanted for robbing SE Houston bank, police say

HOUSTON – The FBI Violent Crime Task Force is asking the public to help them identify a man wanted for robbing a bank on Monday.

Police said the man threatened and robbed tellers at the 1st Convenience Bank located inside the Kroger grocery store at 11701 South Sam Houston Parkway East around 11 a.m.

The man entered the bank and handed the teller a threatening note, demanding cash.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the man left the area on foot in an unknown direction.

No one was hurt and no weapon was seen by witnesses.

The man is said to be approximately in his late 30s to 40s, about 6-feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He had a black mustache at the time of the robbery. He wore a beige, fisherman-style sun hat, sunglasses, a tan and green button-down shirt with a white undershirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
