Family of seven escapes house fire in northeast Houston


HOUSTON – A fire forced a couple and their five children out of their home early Tuesday morning in northeast Houston. 

The fire started around 3 a.m. at a home at Edenglen Drive and Trailview Drive. 

The homeowner, his wife and children were asleep when the flames broke out. The father woke up the rest of the family and everyone got out safely. 

Their dog is still missing. 

Fire officials have not released the cause of the fire.
