7 people hospitalized after southwest Houston apartment fire

HOUSTON – Paramedics took seven people to the hospital for smoke inhalation Saturday after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.

Firefighters found the flames at the Marinette Apartments in the 6200 block of Marinette Drive.

Everyone got out of the building safely, officials said.

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control by 2 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
