Endangered tiger cubs make debut at zoo
SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Zoo has added some new additions to the family, a trio of endangered tiger cubs.
Under the watchful eye of momma Joanne, Cathy, Debbie and Nelson spent their first day exploring the tiger trail in the zoo's safari park.
Officials say it was time to let the 6-month-old cubs roam free.
The group ran, jumped and spent the day climbing trees.
Scientists say there are fewer than 350 Sumatran tigers remaining in the world and the species could be extinct by 2020.
