HOUSTON – Houston police arrested a man who is accused of recording video of a woman as she changed clothes in a dressing room.

The alleged incident happened Sunday at Melrose Fashions on Telephone Road just before 7 p.m.

According to HPD, an employee was the first to notice the man using his cell phone to record video in another changing stall. The employee said Johnathan Matom, 18, was two stalls away from the victim and crawled into the empty adjoining stall. Matom is accused of stretching his arm out to record the 19-year-old woman in the next stall. Investigators said the video corroborates this account.

Officers said when they questioned Matom, he told them that his cell phone acts up and sometimes turns on inadvertently.

Matom was arrested on an improper photography charge.
