Lorex recalls thousands of Care 'n' Share baby monitors over burn hazard

About 34,000 baby monitors are being recalled for risk of a burn hazard.

The recall involves Lorex Care 'n' Share video baby monitors.

The firm has received 488 reports of batteries overheating and expanding, causing the battery cover to open or come off and exposing hot batteries.

No injuries have been reported.

The baby monitors were sold from May 2013 through May 2016 at a number of stores including Babies "R" Us, Target and Walmart, as well as online at Amazon.com.

Consumers should stop using the product and contact Lorex to receive a full refund.
