21-year-old man charged in La Porte Dollar Store aggravated robbery
LA PORTE, Texas – Police have identified Christopher Hollis, 21, as the alleged shooter in a La Porte robbery that left a customer shot.
Hollis is one of several people allegedly involved with the Jan. 17 robbery of the Dollar Store in the 10400 block of West Fairmont Parkway.
Hollis and another man entered the store around 8:30 p.m. showing guns, according to police. During the course of the robbery, a customer was shot. The men left the scene with an unknown amount of money.
While additional suspects are known, the investigation is ongoing regarding their particular role in the crime.
Forensic evidence identified Hollis as the shooter, police said.
Hollis has been charged with aggravated robbery. He is being held in the Harris County Jail while police work to secure additional charges for similar crimes in surrounding areas.
