Police are searching for two people after a man was gunned down in the driveway of a northeast Houston home.
Terry Snowden, 45, had been shot multiple times before Houston police found him around 9:30 p.m. Friday in the backyard of his house on Booker and Grandville streets, investigators said.
The victim's neighbor, Kazi Hicks, said he heard as many as eight gun shots before seeing Snowden lying in his driveway. Hick said by the time he got to Snowden, it was too late.
"I seen he was taking his last breath, and I grabbed him by the hand and I told him to hold on, but it was too late for that," Hicks said.
Snowden was Hick's wife's cousin. Hick said Snowden was somewhat of a handyman. He said everyone on the block knew him.
"He didn't bother anybody," Hicks said. "That was one of the guys that helped me out whenever I needed help."
Neighbors said they saw a man with dreadlocks, a white shirt and cream-colored pants running down the street to the corner. They said he jumped into a car and took off.
Investigators are still searching for a motive.
