Man shot several times, killed during attempted robbery in south Houston
HOUSTON – Police said a 44-year-old man was shot and killed at 8900 Comal St. after the woman he was with refused to hand over jewelry in a robbery attempt on June 24 around 7 p.m.
According to police, the man and woman were approached by two men described as black, in their late teens to early 20s and wearing black camo hoodies and jean shorts. When the woman refused to hand over her property, one of the men shot the victim several times.
Paramedics took the victim to the hospital, where he later died.
The two suspects ran north on Comal toward Bellfort St.
