Firefighter burned in apartment fire in southwest Houston


HOUSTON – A firefighter was injured while fighting a fire at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.

The fire broke out just before 10 a.m. Monday at a complex in the 9400 block of Concourse Drive. While fighting the flames, the first responder was burned on the right hand.

Houston officials said eight to 10 units are without power, one unit has water damage and another has flame damage as a result of the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
