HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is searching for an accused killer after a 17-year-old was fatally shot Monday at a house party in the southeast side of town.
Investigators said someone shot the teen around 12:30 a.m. at the Vista Verde apartment complex in the 8700 block of Broadway Street.
According to police, a group of men entered the apartment and started arguing with some people at the party. During the confrontation, a man on the apartment's balcony pulled out a gun and started shooting.
After being shot, the 17-year-old stumbled down the stairs before he collapsed and died, investigators said.
The shooter and all witnesses were gone when police arrived.
An investigation is underway.
