Super Bowl beautification process brings 20 trees to area school

HOUSTON – Houston continues to spruce up for Super Bowl LI, and it's starting by improving the look of some area schools.

Twenty trees now stand at KIPP Intrepid Preparatory School, thanks to a donation from the last Super Bowl committee.

They used the "golden shovel."

It has been passed down from one host committee to the next for the past 10 years.

It's a symbol of the "greening" of the Super Bowl.
